What do you need?

To make two bags you will need the following:

  • 2 glasses of oatmeal.
  • Two cloth bags. They should be made of chiffon, muslin or organza. You can use gift bags that you have probably received before. They should have a string to tie them.
  • Half a soap. The type you like best. You can use oatmeal soap as well, but we recommend another: pink mosqueta. You can find it in health food stores or perfumeries.
  • Essential oil. The one you like best. Of course we recommend pink mosqueta (rosehip seed oil).

  • It’s very simple. The first thing you should do is choose your cloth bags. They should be medium in size, and should be the size of your hand (at least). Imagine that you are going to use them as a soap for the skin, which is why the size should be right.
  • Once you have the bags in place, set them aside and bring out a bowl. You can make a therapeutic mixture. You need two glasses of oatmeal. Then tear off half a bar of soap. Use a grater and place these small pieces on top of the oatmeal.
  • Add 10 drops of essential oil in addition. Choose the type you like best. This is to balance the smell.
  • We should also mention that some people add dry herbs as well, such as lavender, orange leaves, or even rosemary. You can add whatever you want, as long as these planets have good therapeutic benefits for your skin.
  • Then it’s almost clear. You just need to split the contents and fill up the two bags. Tie them tightly. Remember that after each use, place the bags in a place where the sun and air allow them to dry properly. The use of the soap is of course limited. When you notice that it barely smells, or that the oatmeal has turned into a kind of powder, it’s time to make new bags. You will even notice how beautiful your skin is going to look.
