Maybe you are one of those people who have thin and weak eyelashes. There is no problem; Many women have figured out how to solve this. For example, we understand that the majority of our traits are genetically determined.

By following a specific diet and using appropriate makeup tricks, we can get the eyelashes we want. And no, we are not going to use false eyelashes at all. With some time and good habits, we will reach our goal. It is best to start from the inside.

Dermatologists from The Madrid Institute of Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery (MSDI) remind us that a well-balanced diet, low in fat and rich in vitamins A, B, C and E, will help us get longer and more shiny eyelashes. Why not follow their advice?

  • Almonds. What if we only eat six almonds every day? They are rich in vitamin E, and provide perfect nourishment to the eyelashes’ hair follicles. Almonds also contain polyphenol, an antioxidant that prevents weak eyelashes and lashes from falling out.
  • Olive oil. You probably know a lot about this already. Olive oil strengthens the eyelashes and gives the body lots of vitamin E, as well as antioxidants that fight aging and weakening of the eyelashes.
  • Beans. These are a natural source of iron, zinc and vitamin B complex. And what do these elements give to the eyelashes? Yes, they strengthen, nourish and oxygenate, and are amazing.
  • Broccoli. There are few vegetables that are so healthy for our core functions, and in addition improve our appearance. For example, did you know that broccoli gives you keratin? And thanks to it, your eyelashes will be thicker, stronger and more elastic.
  • Avocado. Many studies have shown that eating half an avocado a day gives us more than 20 vitamins and minerals. All of these are ideal for helping us get thicker eyelashes.

Simple beauty tips for thicker eyelashes

1. Brush your eyelashes every night

So simple, yet so effective. Think of your eyelashes in the same way as with your hair. One thing that is very effective in stimulating hair growth is combing the hair. By doing this, dead skin cells are removed and the circulation in the area is stimulated. This is a daily routine that gives good results.

2. Treatment with castor oil

Infallible, efficient and economical. It is worth always taking castor oil at home and in your cosmetics collection. Few oils are as effective for your eyelashes as castor oil; a natural source that provides maximum moisture to your eyelashes.

To take advantage of this oil, use a cotton swab dipped in the oil and massage gently on the eyelashes. If you do this in the evening after brushing them, you will gradually see that your eyelashes become thicker.

3. Talcum powder

This amazing trick is one of the secrets of makeup artists. It’s so simple it will surprise you:

  • First we apply mascara only on the tip of the lashes and make sure that they are well divided.
  • Then gently sprinkle on talcum powder. In this way we give thickness to the lashes. You can also apply this with another mascara brush, as you see in the picture below. It’s easier.
  • When the eyelashes are well covered by the talcum powder (be careful not to get this in the eyes), apply a new coat of mascara. You know how to best do it; to make the lashes look thicker, apply the mascara from the root and upwards. Do not stop at the tips, continue as it is this detail that gives you more length to the lashes.

4. Should the mascara always be black?

This is often the million question. The answer is: no, not always. There are various sources that can help us achieve thicker eyelashes:

  • Mascara with transparent glitter. This gives light, density and a spectacular style especially in the morning. If you enhance the dark rings, you get a very chic feel.
  • Brown mascara mixed with black: another trick among makeup artists. Apply the brown mascara from the root to the center of the lash, and the black on the tips. This will make the lashes look long and thick. Have you already tried this? It’s a sensation.

5. Be careful with tongs and waterproof mascara

We know that a pair of pliers gives us a beautiful touch, but do not overdo it. Using eyelash curler every day will damage the eyelashes and you risk weak eyelashes. If you still feel the need to always use lash tongs, remember to moisturize your lashes at least twice a day using Vaseline or castor oil.

The same goes for waterproof mascara. We know that it fits better because of its composition, and we can even be in the swimming pool or on the beach without worrying about the mascara running or the like. But what’s the flip side? It requires thorough effort to remove it, and there is always some mascara left that can damage the eyelashes.

It is best not to overdo the use of these two elements. Also, as a conclusion, these tips are as simple as they are economical. With these, you will undoubtedly achieve thick and beautiful eyelashes.
